He is giving many interviews regarding this film. In a recent interview, he talked about his controversial remarks on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Imran said that he made many enemies because of that episode of Koffee With Karan. While that was not his bad intention, it was an attempt to win over Hamper.
Emraan Hashmi came as a guest in the ninth episode of the fourth season of ‘Coffee with Karan’. His fellow guest was Mahesh Bhatt. Apart from being a relative of Imran, Mahesh is also considered his mentor. Well, there is a segment in ‘Koffee with Karan’ in which you have to say one word about a person. In this episode, when Karan took the name of Aishwarya Rai, Imran suddenly said – ‘Plastic’. Plastic is usually used in the sense of fake or fake. A big uproar arose over this matter. Now in an interview with Zoom, Imran talked about this controversy.
When Imran was asked about going to ‘Koffee with Karan’, he said-
“In this process you make many enemies.”
Then he was asked whether he does not go to such chat shows because of this fear. Or they have become a little soft with time. On this Imran says-
“It becomes a bit difficult for me to handle all that. However, if I go to ‘Koffee with Karan’ now, I will spoil things again. In Rapid Fire, I will spoil things more than the last one. But in my mind, I have nothing against those people. I just wanted to win the hamper. That’s why sometimes you say strange things.”
Emraan Hashmi had to apologize after making such objectionable remarks against Aishwarya. While issuing the statement he said-
“That’s not what I meant. I am a big fan of Aishwarya. The format of that show is like this. I can’t win the hamper by not saying things there. I love her (Aishwarya). I have always been a fan of her work. “I knew that people would make a mountain out of a molehill. But people make issues out of nonsense every time.”
In the same episode of ‘Coffee with Karan’, Imran had also said a sharp thing about Mahesh Bhatt. He had said that Mahesh Bhatt was able to buy a penthouse worth Rs 40 crore in Bandra because he made it a hit by working in his films. Imran had also tagged Mallika Sherawat as the worst on-screen kisser.
Aishwarya has been in the news for the last few days due to the problematic comments of Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq. Giving an analogy to criticize the Pakistan team, Razzaq said-
“If your thinking is that I should marry Aishwarya Rai and from there a very pious and pious child is born, then this can never happen.”
He is being heavily criticized for this comment. Emraan Hashmi is currently seen in ‘Tiger 3’. In this Salman Khan starrer film, he is playing the role of a villain named Aatish Rehman. This film has been directed by Manish Sharma. ‘Tiger 3’ has earned more than Rs 300 crore worldwide. The film’s earning in India is Rs 187.65 crore.
